I am proud and honoured to be a partner, personally and through the Saku Koivu Foundation, in contributing to the greatness of the Montreal General Hospital, particularly in the areas of cancer and trauma care. Like you, I know very well what a special place the MGH is and how great are its doctors, nurses and support personnel. I invite and encourage you to join with me in giving your support to The Montreal General Hospital Foundation. While hockey has taken me and my family to another city, my commitment to The Montreal General Hospital and its Oncology Mission remains strong.
With thanks and best wishes,

Saku Koivu created The Saku Koivu Foundation in collaboration with the MGH Foundation as his way to “give back” to the community in appreciation for the excellent medical and nursing care he received during his battle with cancer.
Originally, his Foundation was created with a single purpose: to provide the greater Montreal area with a PET/CT Scan; a sophisticated piece of equipment used in diagnosing and treating various illnesses with what is known as Positron Emission Tomography.
As many of you now know, through the Foundation’s efforts and contributions from generous donors like you, the PET/CT Scan has been acquired and installed on the 5th floor at The Montreal General Hospital. This new equipment has contributed greatly to patient care and the continued leadership of the MUHC as a Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre.
To make your donation to the Saku Koivu Foundation through The Montreal General Hospital Foundation, please see the "Opportunities to Contribute" section by clicking on the Make a Donation link.
With your support and generosity, together we can make an important difference!
