The inaugural edition of Hockey 911 will honour the life and career of Dr. Douglas Kinnear (1927-2019).
Hockey greats and hockey doctors share unforgettable memories.
The fundraising event Hockey 911 will take place on October 2 at Taverne Moderne 1909. This event supporting the Montreal General Hospital Foundation will feature hockey legends such as Bob Gainey, Yvan Cournoyer, Chris Nilan, Trent McCleary, Serge Savard and Scotty Bowman alongside Montreal General Hospital doctors who work with Montréal Canadiens hockey players.
Stitches, dislocated shoulders, broken ribs: no problem. Playing in pain has always been a part of professional hockey. So, it’s no surprise that players and doctors share a special bond!
Host Gregory Charles will be joined on stage by players and their doctors. Together, they will take you through memorable moments, tales of bravery, tragic accidents and funny anecdotes. Come find out what really happened on the ice, but also in the locker room. Following the exact format of a hockey game, topics will be divided in 5 segments and just like at the Bell Centre, the night will start right on-time so we kindly ask you to arrive before 6:30 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
This cocktail dinatoire will include hockey inspired classics including hotdogs, sliders, beer and more. Seating will be available however there will be no assigned seating.
Listen to Chris Nilan speak about Hockey 911 on TSN 690 Radio.
