COVID-19: Here for you, no matter the circumstances
The current coronavirus pandemic is highlighting just how vital our healthcare system is for our community.
For you and I, the healthcare system is not something abstract; it is made up of people we know – doctors, nurses, staff – who work day-in, day-out in our medical teams on the front line in our hospital. And one thing is certain: the medical teams at the MGH are here for us and our loved ones in time of need.
We know the COVID-19 outbreak will get worse before it gets better and it will put even more pressure on our medical teams in the weeks to come. Already, our critical care teams are working around the clock to prepare for the coming peak of the outbreak, to ensure that we have the beds available to care for those who will need them most.
So today I invite you to offer your support to the dedicated teams at the MGH who are on the front line, working day and night to provide vital care to us. We want them to know that the community is there to support and encourage them at this critical time.
