Senior Advisor, Annual Campaigns
The Montreal General Hospital Foundation is looking for an experienced, innovative Senior Advisor, Annual Campaigns with a passion for relationship marketing to join our dynamic team, committed to helping transform healthcare. The incumbent will be responsible for the management and execution of our annual campaigns. He or she will maximize donor engagement and optimize campaign performance. This key role involves close collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as rigorous analysis of results to improve our fundraising approaches. He or she will also be responsible for overseeing donation processing, as well as managing and optimizing our database.
Main responsibilities
Annual campaign / Relationship marketing
- Act as a relationship-marketing specialist to guide and advise the team on best practices;
- Plan, manage and execute annual solicitation campaigns with our donor community (postal, e-mail, telemarketing and others);
- Plan, develop and distribute all the Foundation’s e-mail communications (newsletter, invitations, etc.);
- Oversee community fundraising projects through our online platform (TeamRaiser);
- Identify and recommend tactics to optimize results in support of strategic orientations;
- Develop personalization strategies to maximize donor engagement and optimize campaign performance;
- Develop and write communications related to annual campaigns;
- Develop briefing documents and validate all work on all channels;
- Carry out all production follow-up (proofreading, approval of personalization, insertion, etc.);
- Ensure quality and accuracy of contact lists;
- Manage relationships and projects with several external suppliers and ensure coordination of work to our standards and deadlines;
- Monitor trends and best practices.
Analysis and reporting
- Identify and monitor performance indicators in support of the Foundation’s strategic orientations and objectives;
- Recommend actions to improve future strategies and direct marketing;
- Prepare regular reports on campaign results;
- Present and share campaign results.
Donation processing and database
- Supervise and support the donation processing and database officer;
- Ensure the optimization of donation processing processes;
- Collaborate with our external supplier for donation processing;
- Ensure database optimization and information accuracy.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, administration or other relevant training
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in direct and relationship marketing;
- Experience with database management (CRM), ideally Raiser’s Edge NXT;
- Experience in email marketing and campaign management platforms, ideally Luminate;
- Experience in coordinating print production and mailings;
- Experience in employee supervision (an asset)
- Experience in philanthropy (an asset).
Professional skills and abilities
- Ability to carry out all tasks related to the implementation of a multi-program annual campaign;
- Demonstrated skills in managing and monitoring projects with various collaborators and deadlines;
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, draw relevant conclusions and write clear, concise reports presenting results;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve common goals;
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel);
- Ability to write personalized messages with a high degree of professionalism;
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in the execution of work;
- The position requires excellent oral and written skills in both French and English, as the role requires managing, developing and executing all campaign programs in both languages.
Conditions of employment
- Full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday;
- Work in hybrid mode;
- Three weeks’ vacation upon hiring
- RRSP with employer contribution;
- Group insurance;
- Reports to the Vice-President, Communications and Marketing.
