Mental Health Takes Centre Stage

The Recovery Transition Program (RTP) is a new and innovative program of services delivered by trained patients – called Peer Mentors – that was designed to help patients and their family/caregivers find appropriate support and services within the community following treatment.

The program provides one-on-one peer support, workshops for patients/family, and access to Resource and Information Centres that facilitate work and educational development.

The RTP was developed via collaboration among patients, families and staff in order to meet gaps in mental health care. It was created with the belief that those who live with mental illness and/or addictions are often best equipped to give hope and encouragement to others with similar struggles.

On April 27, 2018 the RTP will be hosting their 2nd annual Talent Show Fundraiser where patients, staff and volunteers will perform their talents with all proceeds benefiting their special peer mentoring program. Please join us for an evening full of entertainment!

Where: The Montreal General Hospital, Livingston Hall (L6-500)
