The 45th Annual Golf Classic

A Collaboration Between the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Cedars Cancer Foundation.

The tournament, held on June 17 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, was a huge success and a source of inspiration for all those involved in cancer research and patient care at the McGill University Health Centre

Everyone’s commitment to the cause made it possible to raise an impressive $601,500 – and counting! This amount will enable the Montreal General Hospital Foundation to invest in innovative projects that could change the way cancer is treated, and the Cedars Cancer Foundation to hire and train a talented surgical oncologist.

Most families have been affected by cancer in some way, making this event a rallying point and a beacon of hope for many.

Thanks to this joint effort between both foundations, as well as the participation of golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and medical teams, we can achieve fundamental change in cancer research for the benefit of patients.

“Every year, the golf tournament is an occasion for us to show the close partnership that we have with Cedars Cancer Foundation. This year, more than ever, our collaboration is demonstrated in the $100 million Together Against Cancer campaign,” said Stephanie Riddell, President and CEO of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.

“Our two foundations are deeply committed to eradicating illness and saving lives by funding research, education, technology, treatment, and care at the MGH-MUHC and through the Research Institute of the MUHC,” said Riddell. She added, “We know we can have a bigger impact working together.”

Thank you to our wonderful co-chairs, Kim Anderson, Andrew Carter, Dominic Costantini, Mark Krakower, Demo Trifonopoulos, and Paul Sawaya.

Above all, thank you to everyone who made it happen!
