$375,000 for Inflammatory Bowel Disease! THANK YOU!

Matthew Stotland, Ryan Abrams, Stephanie Riddell, Sugar Sammy, Dr. Albert Cohen and Dr. Alain Bitton.

There were lots of belly laughs on November 30 at the annual fundraising event for the McGill IBD Research Group, in collaboration with the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.

Starring internationally renowned comedian Sugar Sammy, as well as brilliant emcee Marina Orsini, the evening opened up the conversation about inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and mobilized people in support of the cause.

It was a resounding success, raising a record amount of over $375,000!

Our warmest thanks to all those present; to co-chairs Ryan Abrams and Matthew Stotland; and to generous partners, Pharmacy Michael Assaraff, CIBC Ansky-Coulson, the Abrams Family and the Stotland Family.

These funds will help alleviate the gaps in care for the IBD community by supporting the hiring and training of dedicated IBD healthcare professionals, as well as free and accessible educational sessions for those affected by IBD.

More than 7,000 adults and children with IBD in Montreal and the surrounding areas will benefit from this help. This is possible thanks to your support, year after year.

*The McGill IBD Research Group raises funds to support the best possible care for patients living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), an umbrella term used to describe disorders that involve chronic inflammation of the digestive tract such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The Group’s mandate is to provide expert medical care, services, research and resources to those living with IBD as well as their families.

You can still make a gift directly to the McGill IBD Research Group.
