Golf, Philanthropy, and $568,000 for Surgical Oncology. Thank you!

Golf, philanthropy, and sunshine reigned at this year 46th annual Cedars Golf Classic at the Royal Montreal Golf Club on June 16, 2025. Thanks to your generosity, we raised more than $568,000 to support surgical oncology at the McGill University Health Centre!
“The Montreal General Hospital Foundation (MGHF) is proud to partner with the Cedars Cancer Foundation to transform lives,” says Stephanie Riddell, President and CEO of the MGHF. “Our joint Together Against Cancer campaign is a perfect example: launched over a year ago, it aims to raise $100 million to advance cancer research and care. It reflects the patient journey — from surgery at the Montreal General Hospital to follow-up treatment at Cedars.”

The Cedars Golf Classic directly supports this vision. Proceeds from this year’s event go to the Peter Abraham Cedars Surgical Oncology Fellowship Fund, helping us invest in surgical oncology initiatives with real impact.
Thanks to your support, the MGHF funds transformative initiatives such as:
- The Future of Surgery, making operations less invasive and more precise;
- A pan-Canadian Precision Oncology Platform;
- And important work to expand access to life-saving clinical trials.
Thank you to everyone who helped this event come to life, including our amazing and dedicated co-chairs, Kim Anderson, Dominic Costantini, Paul Sawaya, and Demo Trifonopoulos and all our sponsors and supporters, including the 11:11 Charitable Foundation and Converium Capital. See you next year!
