The Max Pacioretty Foundation
The acquisition of this High Performance MRI is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference and I hope that many will join me to help make this project a reality.

In March 2011, Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty suffered a severe concussion and broken vertebra during a hockey game – and was immediately taken to the MGH for treatment. Following his recovery in hospital, the young player established the Max Pacioretty Foundation to support the traumatic brain injury project and help purchase a state-of-the-art advanced High Performance MRI machine for the Hospital. Donations through the Montreal General Hospital Foundation are welcome and will be personally recognized by Max. To help Max reach the $3.5 million goal, click here.

The Saku Koivu Foundation
I am proud and honoured to be a partner, personally and through the Saku Koivu Foundation, in contributing to the greatness of the Montreal General Hospital, particularly in the areas of cancer and trauma care

In September 2001, former Montreal Canadiens Captain, Saku Koivu, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma as training camps were underway across the NHL. After undergoing successful treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the hospital, Saku Koivu created The Saku Koivu Foundation in collaboration with the MGH Foundation as his way to “give back” to the community in appreciation for the excellent medical and nursing care he received during his battle with cancer.
